Introducing Annie the wonder doll

Its a wonder that she was finished so fast. I began this doll after making two knitted babes dolls - the first one (she who shall not be named) I kept (and she really needs a new hairdoo) and the second one (Pearl) lives in Barcelona Spain with my sockapaloooza pal Jennifer. The third doll I made I call Annie and she is a new design of my own knit in the round. I began her over the weekend (rainy saturday) and finished her on monday night. Her knit ensemble matches her hair. I am going to try to reproduce her again and this time document my design. I will have to measure Annie to see just how tall I made her or maybe I will just wing-it and make the next doll taller than Annie. Time will tell.

On another note, both packages made it to oposite sides of the world in record time. The backtack3 package got to Lori late monday, and the Sockapaloooza package re-do got to Jennifer on Tuesday (I mailed it to Spain on Saturday). The sock gods were looking out for us this time. Maybe they felt bad that the first pair ended up in hyper-space. My niece Ellen (who is 16) said maybe they ended up with someone who really needed the socks. She is nicer than I am as I was wishing "itchy feet" to whomever found the socks.

My other project on the needles is a knitted cupcake from the one-skein book. I love the concept and will post a picture when it is done along with the particulars (yarn, needle size etc.)

More later....

Hi!

I love Annie the wonder doll. She's so beautiful. Do you have a pattern for her and can you tell me where I can get one. My email address is daquiet@comcast.net.
Thanks!
