this quilt is made to showcase an image i took a few years ago during a late spring/early summer (last week of may) trip to the Acadia national park area in Maine. we stayed at a wonderful cottage on Elsworth lake with a juvenile bald eagle sitting in the tree in the side yard. the place was a wonderful spot to vacation, just far enough from bar harbor to be peaceful. its a wonderful memory.

I have picked a pattern for my baby sweater - It is a Leisure Arts pamphlet called Precious Layettes to Knit and the Pattern is called "Little Lamb". I am swatching in a Coats and Clark Cotton Worsted Weight yarn in a color they call lavender. Its very pretty, and I think it will work well with the smaller needles that I am trying. I finished the sample block for the afghan square and blocked it to 12" last night using foamcore and my quilt pins. it stretched ok and then i steamed it. It is still still pinned to the board. Well, I have figured out how to add links and now I will check out some of the other features of this site. I have not updated everything an as I am off to Newport RI for the weekend I am sure I will not have everything updated before I leave.But I did get the NETA link to work, and the knitalong that I just joined.
